Careers for Accountants is not designed to represent you through one recruiter. The objective is to broaden your market visibility and help more relevant hiring professionals become aware that you are available.

We partner with recruiters who are searching for Newly Qualified CA(SA)'s. You don't have the time to meet with the hundreds of recruiter sin the market. The 2 or 3 recruiters that you meet are also bound by corporate policies that exclude them from many preferred supplier lists.

Absolutely. The portal is designed to complement your existing job search. You can continue using recruiters, LinkedIn, job boards, your personal network and direct applications.

Your visibility preferences are discussed during onboarding so that your profile can be positioned appropriately. If confidentiality is important, this should be highlighted before your profile is made visible.

As a Newly Qualified CA(SA), we do not represent Newly Qualified CA(SA)'s to local audit firms. We only represent international firms based either in South Africa or abroad. You will have the opportunity to select which firms will be able to see your profile. (New talent pools are launched frequently)

You complete your professional profile and onboarding process, where we align your experience, career goals, availability and market preferences. Your profile can then be positioned for relevant visibility through the platform and network.

Potential employers and recruiters can find your profile on the portal. 

No career platform can guarantee employment. Careers for Accountants is designed to improve one of the most important factors in a job search: being visible to more of the right people at the right time.

The Newly Qualified CA(SA) Portal is a career visibility service for the professional rather than a traditional recruitment placement model.

Therefore we do not take a placement fee from the employer, this is why they will prefer to hire you versus another candidate with the same skill set and experience.

(We may contract our team into companies where they need a helping hand with sourcing Newly Qualified CA(SA)'s but that's actually a benefit to our members and not a barrier to entry at all.)

On a monthly basis we will have a career question session which will allow us to discuss current market issues. Individual mentor sessions are either selected at joining the portal for a once-off session. Thereafter these will be additional paid services. 

Once a company has initiated a process with you, we do not want to be a burden in your process. One of the reasons why a company chooses to use our portal is due to it being part of their normal sourcing of talent processes.

Their HR teams will be your guides through the process and from interview to onboarding they are your first contacts. 

We do not involve ourselves in these processes. 

Your profile remains active according to the portal membership terms, but you should update your status as soon as your availability changes or you secure your next role.

As you deactivate your profile, we will update the system so that your subscription fee stops. Deactivations need to take place before the 25th of each month so that we can review and update our system. (It is important that you connect with us via our LinkedIn Page as soon as possible if the subscription fee continues the following month).
